06 — Internal Development

Our IP

Alongside client work we develop our own replayability-focused IP — world-state driven quests, non-linear systemic storytelling and custom dialogue frameworks. One evolving body of work, across two engines.

Our in-house project began on Unity as Revengers and grew into the UE5 systems sandbox we now call Retropunk. Same team, same systems-first DNA — pushed forward as our tools and engine matured.

The Unity-era roots of the project, since cancelled. Welcome to Khiribi — an island of a thousand trees, exotic birds and never-ending violence, ruled by the warlord Dalian. Liberate outposts, master Voodoo, free the enslaved and bring justice to the land. Its co-op systems and worldbuilding became the foundation for Retropunk.

We are always looking for passionate, creative people from gamedev who want to help bring our IP to players. We're an international team, currently working on the project in our free time while we negotiate with potential investors and publishers — a chance to join a big project from the ground up.

Unreal Engine 5 Developer(Programmer)

Internship · Part-time · Remote · Unpaid (volunteer, to raise funding for further development)

Join the core team as a UE5 programmer / scripter. You'll own the technical implementation of gameplay mechanics and systems, working closely with other programmers, designers and artists — plus debugging and optimization using modern tools.

Required

  • Experience in the games industry
  • C++ & Unreal Engine (or Unity & C#)
  • Debugging & optimization skills
  • Communication in English (international team)
